Fees

My fee is $200 per 45-minute session for individual therapy. My fee is $245 per 55-minute session for couples therapy. I accept payment by check or credit card. Please note that it is always your responsibility to pay our agreed upon fee in full regardless of your insurance arrangements.

Fees and frequency are discussed during the initial consultation as part of establishing a structure that supports the work. Payment is due at the end of each month unless other arrangements have been made.

Insurance

I am not in network with insurance companies. Many insurance plans provide reimbursement for out-of-network psychotherapy services. If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide a monthly statement (superbill) that you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Please note that the contract is between you and the insurance company, so it is your responsibility to be informed of your policy’s benefits and to resolve any problems or disputes regarding coverage and reimbursement directly with your insurance company.

Because insurance companies require a mental health diagnosis and may place limitations on treatment, some people prefer to work outside of insurance in order to maintain greater privacy and flexibility in the therapy process.

Out-of-Network Reimbursement

If you are considering using out-of-network benefits, you may wish to contact your insurance provider to ask:

  • Whether your plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits

  • The percentage of reimbursement

  • Your deductible and how it applies

  • Any limits on number of sessions
